Ever since the first conception Virtual Open Mic an abiding principle of it has been that what goes into it should come not from me but from the users of the site. I just wanted to provide a useful space for others. I hold fast to that. The boxes on these pages are for others to use. I have a limited interest in adding my own voice to it.

The only thing I want is that it should be a place for a type of music that seems to have a limited exposure and few good go to places to find it and find out more about it and it's people.

So this is it. I hope you will post what you like here. Gig listings, tour information, album releases or opinions and recommendations are all welcome. Just remember it's about acoustic and roots music in the UK.
